Zoning Board of Appeals Minutes 03/24/2010
MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
MINUTES
March 24, 2010

The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held Public Hearings on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at the Mashpee Town Hall.  Board Members Robert G. Nelson, John Dorsey, Jonathan Furbush, and Associate Member Ronald S. Bonvie were present.  Associate Member Peter Hinden and Board Members James Reiffarth and William Blaisdell were not in attendance.

Mr. Nelson opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m.

OTHER BUSINESS

William Duffy:  Informal discussion of a proposal to install a shed on property located at 7 Nashawena Road (Map 117 Parcel 35) Mashpee, MA.

Mr. Nelson recognized Mr. Duffy who said that he is interested in installing a shed on his property.  The subject property abuts two roads and setback requirements make it difficult to locate the shed without the need for Variance relief.  Mr. Duffy said he would like to avoid that cost.  The Board suggested several locations for the proposed shed that would meet the setback requirements.  Mr. Duffy thanked the Board.

Accept March 10, 2010 Minutes
Mr. Furbush moved to accept the March 10, 2010 Minutes.  Mr. Dorsey seconded the motion.  All were in agreement.
Review Revised Comprehensive Permit Rules
Mr. Nelson referred to the memo from Attorney Jason Talerman advising the Board to review the revised Comprehensive Permit rules.  The rules now address a variety of issues, such as inclusion of attorney’s fees within the application fee.  Attorney Talerman stated that the rules can be adopted by a simple vote of the ZBA at a regular meeting.  After being adopted, the rules must then be filed with the Town Clerk in order to be applied to any upcoming Comprehensive Permit Petitions.  The Board examined the document carefully and discussed the improved changes to the rules.

At the Public Hearings on March 24, 2010, Mr. Dorsey moved to adopt the revised Comprehensive Permit Rules.  Mr. Bonvie seconded the motion.  All were in agreement.

Mr. Nelson moved to adjourn the meeting.  Mr. Dorsey seconded the motion.  All were in agreement.  Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Cynthia Bartos
Administrative Secretary
